When guitarist Sean Madden first looked through the years of concert video, posters and photos he had stored away in his studio, he had no idea it would graphically portray the history, struggles and joys of being in the unique acid jazz power trio, FlashBamPow. The intense energy of their live performances, sharp musicianship, intricate arrangements and raw power hit him in the gut. Aside from the thrills of playing in such a highly creative band, he also remembered the indignities of playing for small, indifferent audiences. He realized that he had an audiovisual tale of what it means to maintain creative integrity in the face of life’s logistical and social challenges.
