Why choose me for a reading?
1. There's a few important reasons to consider me for a visit to your library or school. The first is the amount of experience I have working with large groups of kids and parents. I'm very at home in a classroom or packed auditorium. I have 20 years of experience in elementary, middle, and high schools. I know what works, and what doesn't.
2. The entertainment factor is another reason. As a jazz guitarist, I incorporate music into my presentation.. This has proven to be a big hit throughout my career, and is an excellent way to compliment the visual presentation of the artwork I show. I play a 7-string electric guitar. I'm also able to do drawing demonstrations on the spot (see photo above). Kids love to see tricks for drawing characters.
3. Cost and flexibility! Many illustrators and authors charge a flat fee for their services, but I think more of a discussion needs to occur about what you want before agreeing on a price. You may only want a half-day presentation, or may only be interested in a few classrooms. You may or may not live within a reasonable driving distance from me. I say we chat about what you want, what I offer, where you are, and come up with a customized visit just for you. I can guarantee that I'll give you more for your dollar, at a reasonable cost.
